St. Lawrence River — Working Waterway
This gallery documents the St. Lawrence River as both a dramatic landscape and an active working waterway. Rock island lighthouses, large cargo vessels, and Boldt Castle appear beneath heavy cloud cover and shifting sunset light, where weather and scale shape each scene as much as the structures themselves.
The river exists in constant negotiation between movement and permanence. Ships pass steadily through narrow channels carved by time, while stone, shoreline, and historic architecture remain fixed in place, bearing witness to generations of passage. Industry, navigation, and landscape intersect here — not in opposition, but in quiet coexistence — within an environment defined by change, endurance, and the slow rhythm of water moving things through.
